Facilities for Hire

St Werburghs City Farm has a range of different facilities for hire. The information below offers a snap shot of each area. Click on the links below to find out more information about each facility or area:

The Community Room which is tucked behind the office next to our amazing new green playground. The room is 36m2 which offers room for approximately 25 people in a presentation style seating or 35 people standing. The room offers 15 adult chairs & 8 little chairs, fold away tables, sink facilities, a kettle, cups and tea spoons etc. There are no cooking facilities in this room.

Refreshments, buffet service and other resources can be arranged at an additional cost.

The Horticultural Cabin is a small wooden cabin situated at the bottom of the Farm site amongst the trees and flowerbeds. This cabin offers the perfect space for a meeting or as a training venue. Its facilities include heating, kettle, mugs and spoons, toilet facilities, several tables and seating for up to 10 people. Cooking facilities can also be provided for an additional cost.

Boiling Wells is a beautiful 2.5 acre site nestled in a tranquil woodland valley near St Werburghs City Farm. With a steeped orchard, rambling soft fruit, grass terraces, wild green spaces, native trees and a nearby stream, it is a unique oasis in the heart of the city. The site includes a larch barn which has a wooden floor roughly 4½ x 7 meters, solar-powered low voltage lighting and a wood burner. There is also a wooden Round house, amphitheatre, two compost toilets, an outdoor kitchen, a clay pizza oven, fire circles and tables and chairs. Environmental art features include willow sculptures, a fire serpent seating area and mosaics. There are other archaeological features from medieval times as well as traces of more recent industrial activity.

The Outdoor Amphitheatre situated at our Boiling Wells site offers a wonderful woodland valley as the backdrop for any musical, theatrical or training event. Facilities include wooden seating built into the landscape for up to 250 people, compost toilets/urinals, parking for one car/vehicle in the main entrance.

The Farm also hires out Incubators to schools in Bristol from February to July each year. The incubators are kept in the classroom and the children can watch the development of the eggs into baby chicks. When the eggs hatch you then keep the chicks for several days until we come back and collect them.
